Spoken Word -- to the tune of "Buffalo's Journey," by Robert Tree Cody.
"...the very stones and rocks we are walking on [will] lift their voices and cry out!" -- Shining Light (Luke) Tells the Good Story 19:40
The folds of the earth
In the Potter's hands
Pushed down, sinking
In Creator's lands
Naught shall lead
But hope-filled sands
Blood-soaked, pain drenched
Salvations in the hearts of man
The folds of the earth
Majesties, glory
Hearts of the Lord
Life unfolding
Sweet peace, sweet tones
Sweet tastes unknown
The Life of the glories
Of the King of Holies
Life of the joys
Life of the peace
Peace enjoying
Sold untelling
Folds of the earth
Folds of glory
Hands of the Lord
Salvation's story
Fields of joy
Life's song, earth's crease
Colored green
Shades of leaves
Life's song
Hopes breathed
The Lord's hands
Creator's peace
Life's long, life's pained
But praise the Creator's name
Folds of the earth
Join today
Strains of the Lord
To sing his praise
Glory be, the Lord is stayed
Folds of the earth
Creator's praise.
Josiah -- Raven and I were flying home from a family visit earlier this month, and we were above the foothills and mountains of the Virginias at one point. The phrase, "folds of the earth," came to my mind, and I wanted to write a praise to the Lord of all the earth, and praise Creator's name. This is what resulted.
